Policy
Individuals
enrolling in the Exam Preparation Course (EPC) of The LifeStyle
Counselor Certification Program™
and paying the required tuition are sent course materials
within 24 hours of the acceptance of their enrollment. As
such, the acceptance of the course participants enrollment
is final, and NO REFUNDS will be given to any enrolled course
participant in the EPC who later, for whatever reason, does
not complete the course. Candidates for Certification who
request an examination date from the AALC will pay a $110
Certification Examination Fee to the AALC. Once an examination
date has been established and the examination sent to the
Candidate for Certification, NO REFUNDS will be given to candidates
who do not complete the examination within the required two-week
period. Individuals enrolling in the Applied Practicum Training
Course (APTC) of The LifeStyle Counselor Certification Program
are required to pay the appropriate tuition in full upon registration.
Applicants for the APTC are accepted on a first-come basis
for each scheduled APTC training session, and seating is limited.
NO REFUNDS will be given to applicants who are accepted to
the APTC and later wish to cancel their enrollment. Applicants
may transfer one time only, to a subsequent scheduled APTC
training session, provided such transfer request is made in
writing at least 30 days prior to the originally scheduled
APTC training session start date and provided that the rescheduled
date is within at least one year of the originally scheduled
APTC training session start date and provided the applicant
pays a one-time $75 transfer fee at the time of such written
transfer request. In no event will tuition fees be refunded
if the applicant cancels, for whatever reasons, within 30
days of his or her originally scheduled APTC training session
start date.
Program Books and Materials
Exam Preparation Course tuition includes all training books,
a binder with updated and supplemental materials, and sample
study questions. All applicants should read and study the
books and other program materials sent to them and answer
the sample study questions prior to requesting the Certification
Examination. The Certification Examination Fee paid to the
AALC, includes the exam fee, and a certificate for those who
successfully pass the certification examination. Applied Practicum
Training Course tuition includes all training materials. Continental
breakfast, lunch and refreshments will also be provided during
the course at The LEARN Institute's training centre.
